A dry winter and spring were followed by hot December weather. Careful irrigation management was required to guide our vineyards through the growing season. March was remarkably mild with cool nights contributing to wonderful freshness and balance in our Shiraz and Viognier grapes. Bright crimson in colour. Luscious and exotic aromas and flavours of Turkish delight, red cherries and boysenberry with hints of white pepper and violets. Enjoyable velvety tannins provide a perfect complement to the cherry and chocolate finish which shows the synergy between these two varieties. Enjoy with sausages and mash, vegetable and bean chilli or guacamole, salsa and grilled corn.
